Rowing

Rowing

Rowing is part of the family of water sports. It has been an Olympic sport since the creation of the modern Olympic Games in 1896 under the impetus of Baron Pierre de Coubertin. This sport consists of propelling a narrow, elongated boat with a drag using oars, also called oars, or commonly in the French-speaking "shovels" community. There are two categories: river rowing and sea rowing.
