Boccia
Boccia is a sport of bowls related to petanque, of Greco-Roman origin. It is practiced by people with disabilities in the disabled sports category. The French Handisport Federation received a delegation on December 31, 2016 from the Ministry of Sports to manage boccia. Boccia means "ball" in Italian. This sport was invented for people with cerebral palsy. His practice has now been extended to many other types of motor disabilities. In 2024, seventy-five countries practice boccia around the world.
