Physical description
Designed by Mathieu Lehanneur and manufactured by ArcelorMittal, these cauldrons are lit on the site of the celebrations of each stage city by the last torchbearer of the day.
Notes
The cauldron has a particularly soft aesthetic reminiscent of the curves of the Torch, a symbol of the appeasement carried by the Flame and the Games. It has a base, three bases and a ring that seems to float. The Cauldron also has the same luminous hue as the Torche, a combination of gold, silver and bronze, with shiny finishes on the lower parts and matte finishes on the upper parts. The central place of Water in the Torch Relay and the Paris 2024 Games is symbolised on the base of the Cauldron with wave and wave effects. With its perfectly circular ring, it embodies Brotherhood. Through its use, the Paris 2024 Cauldron invites people to gather, share and celebrate. The cauldron was made in only 20 copies.
