Physical description
The golden disc of the torch is placed in a white square case, the disc is held together by a magnetism. Thank you text signed by Tony Estanguet and Thomas Bach included in the box set Heart of the Torch Reward.
Notes
The "heart of the torch" represents the ring that is inserted in the middle of the torch and that allows its two parts to be assembled. "It is the core and axis of symmetry of the torch," explains the Organising Committee of the Games. This is a gift from the IOC to all 11,000 Olympic and Paralympic torchbearers.
