Notes

It was on 26 July, at around 11:30 p.m., that the best-kept secret of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games was revealed: the last torchbearers of the Olympic flame for the Paris 2024 Games. Twenty great French champions closed the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games to carry the Olympic flame to the cauldron in the Jardin des Tuileries: Amélie Mauresmo, Tony Parker, Clarisse Agbégnénou, Felicia Ballanger, Alain Bernard, David Douillet, Laura Flessel, Marie-Amélie Le Fur, Alexis Hanquinquant, Nantenin Keita, Michaël Guigou, Jean-François Lamour, Renaud Lavillenie, Émilie Le Pennec, Laure Manaudou, Allison Pineau, Florian Rousseau. Teddy Riner and Marie-José Pérec are the last two torchbearers to jointly light the Olympic cauldron. Each of them was notified individually during the week of the opening ceremony by Tony Estanguet, the president of Paris 2024. Who did not voluntarily tell them who the others were or their order of appearance.
