Physical description
Phryge, the mascot of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, is inspired by the Phrygian cap worn by the French revolutionaries in 1789. This Phrygia is of medium size. It is the "classic" phrygia of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. It has the logo of the event in the center on which the agitos appear. She also wears a sneaker on her left leg with blue, white and red trim and a black spatula prosthesis on her right leg. It is fixed in its presentation cardboard, which is L-shaped and in a raw style with colorful shapes and inscriptions.
Notes
The mascot of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, representing a Phrygian cap, is a reference to the French Revolution of 1789. This type of cap symbolizes republican values (Liberty, Equality and Fraternity). Very present in the popular imagination, he can be seen in particular in town halls where he does Marianne's hair or on postage stamps. The object is available here, as a cuddly toy (children's toy), in order to reach a wide audience. An aspect that reminds us of the importance of the economic stakes surrounding the Games.
