Physical description

The chest protector is made of stainless steel, which prevents oxidation caused by moisture and sweat. The inner lining is completely covered with rectangles of different sizes red on a white background. It opens and closes with a zipper at the front. A strap also passes between the legs to hold the bib as well as possible.

Notes

Right-handed fencing bib used for foil practice by Maxime Valet. At the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, he won the bronze medal in the foil team event, a medal he had already won in Rio in 2016 and Tokyo in 2021. The chest protector is marked with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games thanks to a stamp on the back, it is likely given the new condition of the outfit that it is the replacement chest protector.
