Physical description
The Torch of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is distinguished first and foremost by its colour, which is both unique and luminous. To reflect the next Games, Mathieu Lehanneur was also inspired by three Paris 2024 markers: Equality, Water, and Appeasement. It was manufactured by ArcelorMittal, the world leader in steel and Official Partner of the Games. In total, 2,000 torches were produced by ArcelorMittal, five times less than in previous editions of the Games.
Notes
This torch was used during the Olympic torch relay in Villefranche-sur-mer, it was carried underwater by freediver Alice Modolo.
